MEA launches its new direct route to Madrid, Spain

Middle East Airlines- Air Liban, the national carrier of Lebanon, launches its new route to Madrid on the 16th of June, 2018.

MEA inaugural flight to Madrid departed from Rafic Hariri International Airport today at 9:20 am. Middle East Airlines delegation led by MEA Chairman – Director General, Mr. Mohamad El Hout and High officials will be received by key officials at Madrid-Barajas Airport .


Madrid 3 weekly flights (every Monday, Thursday & Saturday) will be operated by an Airbus A320 with a flight duration of 5 hours and 5 minutes. Flight ME241 will depart Rafic Hariri International Airport at 09:10, arriving to Madrid-Barajas Airport at 13:15. The return flight ME242 will depart Madrid-Barajas Airport at 14:45, arriving to Beirut at 20:10.

The new route between Lebanon and Spain will strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries, allow passengers to explore one of the world’s most magnificent cities (food, sports, culture…). Beirut Madrid route will link Lebanon to the countries of Latin America, in particular, facilitating the deployment of the Lebanese diaspora, especially in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina….to visit Lebanon and vice versa.
