MEA Cadet Pilot Training Program - 2009

    Introduction

MEA is inviting applications from young, motivated, hard working, and creative Lebanese nationals to train as First Officers (co-pilots).  They will be required to function as part of the flight crew (pilots) of modern aircraft on MEA’s state of the art new fleet.

The airline pilot’s profession requires the display of mental and physical skills as well as high integrity and personality traits such as discipline and high moral values. Airline pilots should be good team players and should be able to adapt to work within a multi national environment and international training and work regulations.

Candidates intending to join the MEA Cadet Pilot Training Program will be required to undergo a selection process which will determine their suitability for the position of a First Officer.   This selection process is in several stages.  Moving to a following stage is conditional on passing the previous one.

Successful candidates will be required to join the MEA Cadet Pilot Training Program designed to train them to obtain the European JAA (Joint Aviation Authorities) Airline Transport Pilot, Commercial Pilot License, and Instrument Rating. This training is conducted at a contracted flying school, normally Flight Training Europe www.flighttrainingeurope.com .  All testing will be conducted under the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority regulations.

The duration of the initial (ab-initio) training, comprised of ground school, simulator, and actual airplane flying is estimated at 62 weeks. The cost includes full board accommodation. The duration of the type rating training is estimated at 26 weeks.
